Please find below details about your child’s new journey at St Raphael's Catholic Primary School.  Starting school is a big step in any child’s development and we would like to support you the best we can in this new chapter of your child’s life.  

Important Dates

 Meet the teachers:     Friday 10th July 2026 at 9:00am

Stay and Play sessions for new Reception children who are not currently attending St Raphael's Nursery:      Tuesday 14th July 2026 at 9.30am

Each child has been allocated a specific date and time for their staggered entry; please refer to the details provided for your child's individual arrangements. Please note that all timings are subject to change, and a letter confirming arrangements will be sent via email.

The School Day

Reception class children come into school, via the Early Years gate located at Hartfield Avenue, onto the Early Years playground.  There will always be a member of staff, on the gate to greet you and your child in the morning. We encourage you to say goodbye to your child at the gate and allow the teacher to help settle them into the classroom.

8.30am – School Gates open (Please ensure your child arrives at school, on time every day)

11:30pm – 12:30pm – Lunch time (School dinner and packed lunch)

3.05pm – End of school day (The gate will open at 3.05pm, please ensure you collect your child on time).
