Welcome to St. Raphael’s

We are a school with high expectations – of educational standards, and educational achievement. We are constantly striving for a breadth of opportunity for all, whilst valuing each child’s personal successes.

Central to our aims as a Catholic school, is to ensure that we work in a spirit of partnership with you, our parents, developing our respective roles and responsibilities, to teach children about respect, mutual understanding, and to deepen their relationship with God. We do this most successfully when we ensure that the principles of equality, justice and unconditional love underpin our work together.

Coupled with the dedication and excellence of the teaching team, teaching assistants, administrative and premises teams, the sharing of the skills and expertise we enjoy from our close liaison with parents, enables us to enhance the learning experiences of the children, and improve school facilities. The development of our buildings, and outdoor space, has helped us to maximise access to a rich curriculum, but also to deepen the children’s engagement with art, music, drama and sport – within and beyond the school day.

The children at St. Raphael’s know they are a source of great pride to us; they respond to the high standards set for them. We look forward to working with our established families, and those who are new to our school, to make every child’s time here happy and successful.
